Rockets at 10 weeks

I haven't been eating my rocket salad (arugula) lately, so I've allowed them to keep growing and growing. They are 10 weeks old now, yet the leaves are still tender and tasty. I had never imagined that I could grow rocket successfully here in this humidity.

If you can get your hands on some seeds, I recommend that you sow some in your backyard. A small bag costs more than S$5 here in our supermarkets. Imagine how much money you can save if you grow them at home. Besides, freshly harvested leaves taste so good, it's worth a shot!

Italian variety.

Wild rocket.

  1. One of my jobs for this week is to plant out some lettuce and rocket seeds. They grow here, even in Winter.

  5. Great green fresh harvest for your kitchen. Like this veggie because it does not take space to grow them.

  6. OOO... so lovely!! I too must go hunt down some rocket seeds. My 2 pots are currently looking good but with the heavy rain, I think they will go wonky soon. And yes, I have been trying my level best to eat them. Hehehe..

  7. Hi,

I've been growing rocket on my balcony too! Though I got the heat tolerant kind, since I was afraid the heat may be too much for it to bear. But your wild rocket seems to be doing well? Please share details, and I might getting the wild rocket seeds too ;) thanks!
