Rocket rocks!

I harvested some of my rocket (arugula) leaves to make a salad last night. It was the perfect accompaniment to the freshly grilled salmon. As the rocket leaf is very flavourful, a simple vinaigrette dressing (dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar and olive oil) is good enough.

I can't get enough of its spicy, peppery taste. It's time to grow another batch in my garden.

  1. Hi, How did you grow them? I have been looking for the seeds but cant seem to find them. I usually buy them in a pot from supermarkets and plant them but they dont flower and will die off after awhile.

Do you know of anywhere I can get the seeds in KL?

  2. I couldn't find them in Singapore as well. My friends brought some to me from the UK. I doubt you can find htem in Malaysia as this is not a tropical vegetable. You might want to get your friends to bring you some from Europe, america or Australia.

I have tried ordering from an Aussie website but they said they can't export to Singapore.

  6. Yes, they taste exactly as the ones I've eaten in the restaurants. Strong peppery taste.

  7. I harvested them a little young. When I let them grow out, the leaves start to look serrated, just like the rocket you get from the supermarket.
