The Singapore Garden Festival opened today, drawing a huge crowd when the doors threw open at 10am. I was one of the early birds because I had at meeting at the same building in the morning. The organisers put in their best effort to make the show a stunning one. Here are some snapshots I took. The photos really do not do any justice to the displays.
Creative use of old car tyres.
High rise vegetable farming.
It's nice to see young kids showing an interest in gardening.
A kampong house.
I would like to have a two-storey treehouse just like this.
The South African display is one of my favourites.
This one done by a French designer is really lovely. I love the simple and sleek look of this water garden.
It's difficult to capture the beauty of the flowers and plants under dim lighting. My camera battery went flat suddenly. Luckily my phone camera came to the rescue but it couldn't deliver satisfactory results. These two photos below were shot using my phone.
Yes, everyone should have a 20ft container in the garden!
Hey, all the plants look fantastic and beautiful.
