New additions

After a slow morning at the office, I made a special trip to my favourite nursery just to perk myself up. Look at my new acquisitions!

Succulents in all shapes.

A jasmine plant that is full of buds. I have always wanted one in my garden. I can't wait for the smell of jasmine flowers to infuse my patio.

Lantanna is one of my favourite flowering plants and I can't believe I haven't bought any until now. It's not too late. Now my patio has one in every colour.

I bought a mulberry plant even though I already have one growing in the garden. This small plant is laden with fruits, that's why it is so irresistable.

The ripe berries (in black) are so sweet!

  1. Interesting buys! I am eyeing on Jade plant, cacti on succulents nowadays. But I have never thought of berries. You just gave me some more ideas!

Btw, I like your lantana and jasmine as well. They will certainly make your garden lovelier.

  4. Stephanie - You should get the mulberry tree. Now we can just walk into the garden and eat the berries straight off the tree!

  5. Fiona - I got them from World Fram at $14 each. There were lots when I went. They are out in the sunny section, towards the last few rows. These are grafted (I think) from mature plants in Indonesia, so they're laden with fruits. The one I am growing at home from a stem cutting produces very little fruits.

  6. OKC - Yes, indeed! There are 2 places that I will always exit with loads of things - supermarkets and nurseries!

  7. Oh ok! Btw, does the Glox die back or go dormant when placed indoor? Or it just grew and grew. Just curious to know.

  8. Stephanie - Our gloxinia doesn't die. It's always producing new leaves and flowers all year round.
