The Malay nursery owner just call it 'Ros Kampung'. I will post it once the plant reblooms. Currently the plant is growing well and fast. Oh, I don't think those from the highlands can grow well here. But if you have success story on highland rose, let me know! Btw, I really like the vibrant colour of yours... looks like Peony.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05867061279916535777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-862795292493220882.post-70574164714612924062009-09-27T04:54:59.660-07:002009-09-27T04:54:59.660-07:00That is a nice bloom. I'm not sure what variety this is but I got a stem cutting from a friend years ago and planted in my parent's farm. It grew into such a huge shrub and is constantly flowering. The plant gets messy and encroach into my parent's orchid area, so they're constantly cutting it down.

I'm really surprised to see it flowering so quickly. It's merely a baby plant!

The petals of this rose are small, soft and tightly packed. They fall off very easily after blooming. They give off a really sweet and gentle fragrance. You can count on this plant to be flowering all the time.Blur Tinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07792543153416871887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-862795292493220882.post-17883902971817620912009-09-26T06:41:09.370-07:002009-09-26T06:41:09.370-07:00Casey - Yup, and it smells really great too!Casey - Yup, and it smells really great too!Blur Tinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07792543153416871887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-862795292493220882.post-59658424210746551542009-09-26T04:20:46.952-07:002009-09-26T04:20:46.952-07:00This is beautiful! Do you know if this species is of 'Ros Kampung' or new from Thailand? I am fascinated by rose currently. Some of these roses could really do well in our climate too.
